IOWIT Invests in advanced BOBST VISION K5 Metallizer with ZnS Capability for Holography Applications
Mex, Switzerland, 18 June 2026
IOWIT Technologies Pvt Ltd is an Indian technology company based in Gurugram (Haryana), India. It specializes in advanced optical security, holographic films, embossing, transfer films, and security enhancements that combine visual appeal with anti-counterfeit protection.
IOWIT has recently strengthened its production capabilities with the acquisition of a state-of-the-art VISION K5 HS vacuum metallizer from BOBST, equipped with Zinc Sulphide (ZnS) and Aluminium (Al) coating technology specifically designed for high barrier and high-end holography applications. ZnS coatings are widely used in holographic and optical applications because they provide high refractive index properties, which are essential for achieving sharp diffraction and vivid visual effects.
This strategic investment marks a significant milestone for IOWIT as it expands into premium value-added packaging and security solutions.
And the newly installed BOBST innovation further boosts IOWIT’s capabilities, enabling it to produce high-brightness holographic films and visual effects with enhanced depth and visual impact. It also offers improved light transmission control, supporting a wider range of customization options.
With this investment in the VISION K5 HS, IOWIT reinforces its position as a forward-looking company embracing cutting-edge vacuum coating technologies. The partnership with BOBST ensures IOWIT benefits from high production speeds and uniform coating thanks to metallizer’s precision coating capability ensures consistent quality, which is critical in holography where even minor process deviations can affect visual performance.
Crucially, this level of performance is backed by BOBST’s renowned long-term technical support, which ensures its innovations continue to perform at market-leading levels long after installation.
Mr. Anuj Sood, Managing Director, IOWIT, stated: “Our investment in the VISION K5 HS with ZnS capability marks a significant technological milestone for IOWIT. Holography applications require exceptional precision, optical clarity, and process stability. With this advanced platform, we are strengthening our ability to deliver high-value security and decorative packaging solutions that meet global standards. This strategic investment in a market-leading innovation reflects our long-term vision to lead through innovation and technological excellence.”
