Mex, Switzerland, 1st December 2025
BOBST, ESKO & NDIGITEC convened leading voices from across the Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan to explore the trends and innovations defining the future of the packaging industry.
Held at the Habtoor Palace in Dubai beginning of November, The Future of Packaging – Empowered by Regional Visions event brought together executives, converters and brand owners for a day of forward-thinking discussion and collaboration.
Participants at the event, which ran alongside the Gulfood Manufacturing Tradeshow, explored how integrated workflows, data-driven efficiency and sustainable innovation are transforming packaging production.
Presentations from BOBST experts included a forward-looking vision by Khaled Joundi, Business Director for the Middle East & Turkey. Attendees also took part in a discussion by Technical Sales Director Dennis Hughill on BOBST barrier technology, including the oneBARRIER range of recyclable and mono-material packaging solutions.
Khaled Joundi said: “The Middle East has become one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking regions in packaging today, and our customers here are passionate about embracing transformation. This event captured that spirit, bringing together leaders who are accelerating packaging development. It was fantastic to meet with our customers and industry partners to align on shared goals and demonstrate how collaboration can drive real value for the sector.”
Alongside ESKO and NDIGITEC, BOBST highlighted fully connected workflows integrating prepress automation, digital colour management, printing, converting, and creative prototyping.
BOBST also presented advances in BOBST Connect and its customer support services, which help converters optimize performance and improve integration across their operations.
The event culminated in a networking dinner, giving attendees a platform to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships.
Khaled added: “The future of packaging lies in intelligent connectivity. Combining data and human expertise enables us to deliver smarter, more sustainable production. By working closely with ESKO and NDIGITEC, we’ve shown how a fully connected workflow can unlock new efficiencies that benefit every stage of the process. Combining our advanced technology with digital integration and strong regional partnerships, we’re giving converters the tools to stay competitive.”
