Acket Drukkerij Kartonnage b.v. enhances productivity with region-first NOVACUT 106 ER with ACCUREGISTER
Mex, Switzerland, 5 March 2026
Acket Drukkerij Kartonnage b.v. (‘Acket’), a family-owned packaging manufacturer with over 140 years of heritage, has installed the first BOBST NOVACUT 106 ER die-cutter equipped with ACCUREGISTER technology in the Benelux region, replacing older machines at its facility in Oss, Netherlands.
The investment, installed in November 2025, marks a significant step forward for the company as it serves food and non-food customers across Europe. Operating three printing presses, six die-cutters, and seven folder-gluers, Acket produces cardboard cartons primarily for food customers, alongside healthcare and luxury markets.
Tom Acket, Managing Director and fifth-generation family member, explained the decision: "In today’s market, it is crucial that we are efficient in our production and achieving the right volumes, to best serve our customers. We have three BOBST 102 CE machines that served us well for 30 years, but parts were becoming difficult to source.”
“We decided to disassemble one of the older machines, and in 2022 we purchased a BOBST NOVACUT 106 ER Autoplaten® die-cutter. We discovered it was excellent value for money, able to deliver the quality we needed. When BOBST introduced the updated ACCUREGISTER system, which delivers similar performance to the POWER REGISTER on our BOBST EXPERTCUT machines but in a more simplified format, it was the perfect solution for us – so we ordered our new machine."
The NOVACUT 106 ER with ACCUREGISTER provides Acket with enhanced precision for increasingly complex die-cutting requirements, including counter-cutting, perforations, and embossing. Running at speeds up to 8,000 sheets per hour, the machine features integrated blanking capability, reducing manual handling and supporting workplace ergonomics. The machine is integrated with BOBST Connect, an all-in-one digital platform that brings data and digital services together for better decision-making, optimization, and productivity.
"The ACCUREGISTER is really easy to use and helps us achieve the cuts and creases exactly where we need them," added Tom. "Combined with the inline blanking, which we now have on four machines, we've reduced the manual workload significantly and made the process smoother for our folding-gluing operations. We’re also pleased to have BOBST Connect to manage data when required, and the BOBST Helpline service, which helps to resolve any issues quickly and accurately."
Edwin Hulsink, Zone Business Director for Benelux at BOBST, said: "Acket's investment demonstrates how the NOVACUT 106 ER with ACCUREGISTER delivers precision and productivity for converters managing diverse work mixes and aiming for zero-fault packaging. Particularly when optimized with BOBST Connect, the combination of speed, accuracy, and blanking capability makes it ideal for operations requiring both efficiency and versatility across short and long runs."
